UNPRECEDENTED MEDIA ATTENDANCE EXPECTED AT THE 6TH ANNUAL MTN BUSHFIRE FESTIVAL
Unprecedented media attention greets this year’s eagerly anticipated MTN Bushfire Festival, with over 100 regional and international press representatives having already been credentialed. Extensive pre-event exposure and a burgeoning global profile catapulted this cross-cultural, socially-responsible music and art festival for charity onto a world-wide platform with between 16,000 and 20,000 local and foreign attendees expected this year. Further, performers and artists from a wide range of countries join a stellar Pan-African and local lineup featured on both the main stage and in The Barn, a newly launched interactive art space. Swaziland’s largest and most celebrated event promises to be the most compelling and exciting to date and provides a wonderful opportunity for visitors to experience the nation’s many and varied assets.
In addition to employing over 1,000 local people – most from the Mahatnya and Malkerns areas – 100 percent of profits from ticket sales go to the country’s thousands of Aids orphans through NGO Young Heroes while proceeds from Bushfire merchandise is earmarked for rural communities through non-profit Gone Rural boMake.
Discounted tickets are available until Friday, May 25 and are going fast. Full price admission is also available daily at the entrance.
