Vacancy For Marketing Officer – MTN Bushfire/House On Fire.

MTN Bushfire, named Africa’s Top Festival by the BBC, is known as one of the most inclusive and diverse festivals in the world. Focused on a quality and holistic experience and set in the scenic Malkerns Valleys of Swaziland, the event hosted 30,000 festival goers of all ages, cultures and backgrounds in 2017.
House on Fire is a multi-faceted organization offering unique eventing solutions. Featuring a venue highly acclaimed for its function flexibility and outstanding creative design, House on Fire hosts an ongoing public performance schedule throughout the year, as well as platform catering for corporate functions, weddings & private parties. The House on fire team also offers off-site for hire eventing solutions.

Job Overview
The Marketing Officer will support the Sales and Marketing processes leading up to Bushfire, and year-round House On Fire sales and marketing, including but not limited to:

House on Fire/Bushfire:
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the MO will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing Marketing Strategies for Bushfire and House on Fire
  • Assist in event concept research, development & planning
  • Promoting events using various platforms
  • Manage marketing related Shows’ checklist
  • Researching and generating content for online platforms
  • Create marketing materials and communications tools
  • Manage sponsor activation spaces for HOF and MTN BUSHFIRE
  • Implement sponsor marketing related deliverables
  • Create briefs for developing new designs, videos and artwork
  • Create Audio Visuals presentations for client and partner engagements
  • Manage Audio Visual activations during the MTN Bushfire festival
  • Researching and generating content for online platforms
  • Ensure that the Bushfire and House on Fire website are being maintained by relevant staff
  • Monitor and control Marketing budgets as allocated
  • Create and manage relationships with advertising partners



  • A Degree in Marketing and/or Communications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and siSwati
  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Strong administrative background
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Good knowledge of social media marketing tools and techniques, and other online platforms
