The official MTN Bushfire Campsite is set up and managed by All Out Africa. It is conveniently located on the Amaswazi Farm at House Fire, within a walking distance to the festival arena. The All Out Africa Bushfire Campsite offers the ultimate festival camping experience and direct access to the festival.
Situated on well–serviced, clean and beautiful lands with plenty of space and 24-hour security, the site has a true festival atmosphere. Festival fans come from all over the world to mingle and share in the joys of one of Africa’s finest festivals.
In 2022, the campsite will be relocating to a different position, with some exciting new additions: extra space for campers in some of the zones, a new Zen Zone and some campfire activities – watch this space for further updates!
If you wish to bring your own tents then you have two choices; camp in our large open BYO (Bring Your Own) zone or pay a little extra and set up your tent in a shaded area known as the BYO IN THE FOREST zone. Both are great for enjoying the full festival experience.

Camping options:
- Ready Erected Tented Camps:
- TENT VILLAGE located on open lawns
- FOREST FIRE CAMP located in a pecan nut grove
- CANVAS CAMP located in an exclusive shaded zone with an upgrade option to larger tents
- FAMILY CAMPING ZONE dedicated family camping area only accessible to those with family camping tickets AND who have children with them aged under 16
- LUX CAMP; tents with ensuite shower facilities and breakfast (not part of the All Out Africa zone – Harambee or Rush sites located elsewhere)
Camping Includes:
- 24-hour security
- Hot showers, flushing toilets and running drinking water for all campers
- Comfortable mattresses and pillows (just bring a sleeping bag and a blanket) this only applies to the ready erected tents not any of the other zones
- A FREE official campsite parking area located close to the All Out Africa Main Campsite, only a few minutes’ walk from the campsite entry gate
- A friendly administration team who will assist with checking in
- A Campsite Information Centre which will be open during the weekend. Here you will be able to charge your phones, buy MTN phone credit, or even find out more about travelling around Eswatini and beyond. You will also be able to top up your wristbands.
- 24hr Campsite Café selling breakfast, muffins, tea, coffee, fresh juices, wraps and sishanyama throughout the weekend. It is also a great spot for meeting new friends, and relaxing around fires.
- A team of people with wheel barrows will be on standby ready to assist, free of charge. If you think you have lots of camping gear, then think about bringing your own wheel barrow or reducing your load.
Camping Tickets
⦁ All camping tickets can be booked online EXCEPT for groups over 20 Pax which need to book through [email protected]. No other tickets can be purchased through us directly. Please note group camping bookings are now sold out.
⦁ Please note that all campers must have their Full Festival pass before purchasing their camping ticket. As in previous years, only those with full festival tickets will be permitted to enter the campsite.
⦁ Tickets will not be available for purchase at the event. They can only be purchased through pre-booking online.
⦁ Check-in is available for all camping options, apart from travel packages, from 11am on Thursday. Check out by 12pm on Monday 1 in the All Out Africa Bushfire Festival Campsite.
Camping Options
BRING YOUR OWN CAMPING KIT
If you have your own tents, you can purchase a ticket for your tent for the weekend, with the option to arrive on Thursday 28 May to avoid the weekend traffic and to set up in your preferred spot! There is a special zone for families where only those with children under 16 years can camp. Family zone is the only zone this year that has a limited number of vehicle spaces, which allows you to camp right next to your car – so don’t miss out!
BRING YOUR OWN CAMPING – STANDARD
Adult camping spot/p for 4 nights (ZAR 530.00/adult)
Child camping (1 – 12 years) spot/p for 4 nights (ZAR 265.00/child)
Stay in the large Bring Your Own camping zone with people camping as individuals or in small and medium sized groups. Your own equipment is required. This campsite is in the official onsite festival campsite provided by All Out Africa. Campers can also park in our FREE official campsite parking area which is located within a short walking distance to the main campsite.
BRING YOUR OWN CAMPING – SHADED
Adult camping spot/p for 4 nights (ZAR 690.00/adult)

Stay in our exclusive Bring Your Own camping zone with extra shelter. This zone is ideal for people camping on their own or for those in small groups who prefer a little more privacy. Your own equipment is needed, but please note that gazebos are not permitted in this area. This campsite is in the official onsite festival campsite provided by All Out Africa. Campers can park in our FREE official campsite parking area located within a short walk to the main campsite.
Camping Options
FAMILY ONLY CAMPING AREA
Adult for 4 nights (ZAR 580.00)
Campers in this zone must have at least one child aged 16 or under in a group or they will not be permitted entry into this area. No refunds or ticket transfers are possible from a child to adult tickets once tickets are sold out.
Child (child 1 – 16 years) – (ZAR 290.00) for 4 nights
Choose the option to put up your tent (own equipment) in a camping area available to families only. This area is where other family campers will also stay. This section will be fenced off from the rest of the campsite and will have exclusive access to those with family camping wristbands only.
You can park in our FREE official campsite parking area nearby the main site. If you would like to park your car in the family camping area, you should purchase the “Car Pass – Family Camping” add on. This is the only zone where parking next to your tent is permitted and is only available to families. Please note that those without children will not be permitted to stay in this area.

READY ERECTED TENT – TENT VILLAGE
2 pax, 4 nights (ZAR 2,680.00 per tent)
Our Tent Village is a private camp with 130 tents and a mini camp. It is fenced off from the main BYO zone with some shade coverage offered by the forest behind. Within a 10–minute walking distance to the festival entrance and amenities, this campsite is fenced off from the main campsite and only those with Tent Village wristbands have access. Included is 1 tent which sleeps 2 people, 2 comfortable high density foam mattresses and 2 pillows (you must bring own blanket or sleeping bag). This campsite is in the official onsite festival campsite provided by All Out Africa.
Forest Fire
READY ERECTED TENT – FOREST FIRE
The Private Camp is in a shaded pecan nut grove away from the crowd. The tents are well spaced to allow more privacy and a relaxed atmosphere. This option is perfect for those wanting a bit more space in natural surroundings. It is only a 15–minute walk to the main festival arena. There is also access to additional pit latrines if you would like to enjoy the full wilderness experience! Included is 1 tent which sleeps 2 people, 2 comfortable high–density foam mattresses and 2 pillows (you must bring own blanket or sleeping bag). This campsite is in the official onsite festival campsite provided by All Out Africa.
Canvas Camp
READY ERECTED TENT – CANVAS CAMP Standard Camping
2 pax, 4 nights (ZAR 3,820.00 per tent)
Our Canvas Camp has 40 standard tents and will be moving to a new home in 2020. Located in a semi–shaded exclusive area close to a forest next to Family Camp and our Zen Zone, this camp will be appreciated by those who want time away from the party atmosphere of the BYO areas. Spacious and shaded, this will be a private camp with ready–erected tents and a shared shower block used only by those staying in the Family Camping zone. Included is 1 tent, 2 comfortable high–density foam mattresses and 2 pillows (you must bring own blanket or sleeping bag). This campsite is in the official onsite festival campsite provided by All Out Africa.
Larger Canvas Tents
READY ERECTED TENT – CANVAS CAMP Larger Tents Camping Option (SOLD OUT)
Our Canvas Camp has 40 standard tents. In 2020, we will be introducing 15 larger tents for those seeking a little more space. In a new position, Canvas Camp will be located in a semi–shaded exclusive area close to a forest and situated next to the Family Camp and Zen Zone. This camp will be appreciated by those who want time away from the party atmosphere of the BYO areas. Spacious and shaded, this will be a private camp with ready–erected tents and a shared shower block which is available for use to those staying in the Family Camping zone only. Included is 1 tent, 2 comfortable high–density foam mattresses, 2 pillows (you must bring own blanket or sleeping bag). This campsite is in the official onsite festival campsite provided by All Out Africa.

CAR PASS ADD-ON Family Camping Area
The Family Camping zone is the only area where cars are permitted to park next to their tents in 2020. Only those eligible to stay in the Family Camp will be permitted to enter using their car pass. Therefore, all guests must be travelling with at least 1 child aged 16 years and under, and should have booked Family Camping. This is an optional add-on to the camping and ticket packages, so in your purchase you must select both the camping & ticket package you would like, as well as the optional car pass add-on. If your family consists of 2 – 6 people, you are permitted to have one vehicle. A family of 7 – 12 people is allowed 2 vehicles (this is subject to availability).
Camper Car Zone
CAMPER CAR ZONE ADD-ON – Separate Zone for Specialized Camping Vehicles Only
1 Specialized Camper Vehicle for up to 4 nights (Thu, Fri, Sat & Sun) – (ZAR 1200.00 per vehicle)
Camper Car Zone is a new camp which permits only the following vehicles:
- Vehicles pulling a caravan
- Camper vans
- Vehicles with a fixed roof top tent
- Vehicles with a trailer which has a fixed roof top tent on it.
GROUPS (Applications Closed, No More Places Available)
If you are in a group of 20 people or more and wish to camp, please email us at [email protected] to make plans for your group. No unregistered groups will be permitted. Due to overwhelming demand, there will be a 2022 application process for groups over 20 Pax who wish to camp at the All Out Africa MTN Bushfire Campsite. This will help us bring diversity to the campsite by selecting groups that have something special to offer.
