It’s official – tickets to the MTN Bushfire 2024 festival have sold out on all platforms!
A big thank you goes out to you – our loyal Fire Starters, for your continued belief in the MTN Bushfire experience! This marks the 13th consecutive year that the festival has sold out, and we can’t wait to have you all join us in a vibrant celebration of “Creativity. Unity. Sustainability.”
Expect another memorable gathering in MTN Bushfire’s signature arts advocacy, unity in diversity and passionate commitment to sustainability as expressed through its multidisciplinary programme of music, theatre, dance, spoken word, film and family-friendly activities.
Winner of the Most Responsible Event Award at the WTM African Responsible Tourism Awards and hailed by CNN as one of the “7 African music festivals you really have to see”, MTN Bushfire is looking forward to reigniting the fire at the iconic House On Fire in Malkerns, Eswatini from 30 May – 1 June.
MTN Bushfire Festival Weekend dates and times
- Thursday, 29 May: Camping Check-In opens 11am. Festival grounds open 16:00 – 22:00, for early campers, who are invited to attend the Vutsa Umlilo opening ceremony performance showcase in the House On Fire Amphitheatre Stage, from 19:05-21:30.
Main Festival:
- Friday, 30 May: 16:00 – 02:30
- Saturday, 31 June: 10:00 – 03:00
- Sunday, 1 June: 10:00 – 21:30
Ticket safety & resale platform
MTN Bushfire strongly advises that all ticketholders adhere to strict ticket safety procedures Avoid showing anyone the barcode on your ticket as this could expose you to fraud. MTN Bushfire cautions against purchasing tickets from third-party sellers as we cannot guarantee those tickets are genuine or have not been duplicated.
The festival recommends making use of the safe and secure Howler Ticket Resale platform for buying and selling pre-owned MTN Bushfire tickets. This service is available for ticketholders who cannot make it to the festival and fans looking to join this year’s festivities. Pre-Load Your festival funds
MTN Bushfire is a CASHLESS festival: no cash is allowed, instead money is loaded onto your festival wristband NFC chip for in-festival purchases. Festivalgoers can Pre-Load funds onto their tickets via their Howler accounts.
MTN Bushfire Tourist Data Packs
Stay connected at the festival with MTN tourist data packages! Order your MTN Eswatini SIM card online, pre-load it, and pick it up as you cross the border. Pick-up points for SIM cards are at the Ngwenya/Oshoek Border Gate, Lavumisa Border Gate, Mbabane Swazi Plaza, The Crescent Shopping Mall, The Gables Shopping Mall, Matsapha Lifestyle Centre, Manzini Lifestyle Centre and at the festival.
