MTN Bushfire Festival Artist Applications Close with over 650 Entries
The MTN Bushfire Festival has close the application period for artist applications as of midnight last night, October 31st. The application period was from August 14 to October 31 and over 650 applications from 39 countries were received. Artists from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Italy, Jamaica, UK, Zambia, Zimbabwe, United States, Trinidad and Tobago, Sweden, Spain were amongst those applying to perform on the various MTN Bushfire stages.
With various stages including the MTN Bushfire Main Stage, The Barn, Firefly Stage and the House on Fire Amphitheatre, the festival includes a diversity of music genres and cultural styles. As MTN Bushfire Festival Director Jiggs Thorne explains, “The Bushfire team is super inspired by the exciting range of artist applications that have been received for 2019. The eclectic nature of the applications reflects Bushfire’s support of diverse expression, and the team will strive to find the right blend of artistry for another explosive festival experience!’’
