2021 Ticket FAQ’s

Q. Will my MTN Bushfire 2020/2021 ticket be valid for 2022?

A. Absolutely! MTN Bushfire will still honour all tickets already purchased for the 14thedition, so all festival tickets, camping and glamping passes purchased for 2020/2021 will remain valid for 2022. Best of all, you are guaranteed an MTN Bushfire 2022 festival pass at a 2020 price!

 

Q. Can I buy tickets for MTN Bushfire 2022 now?

A. Ticket sales are currently suspended due to the resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic, but we will be opening sales for tickets to MTN Bushfire 2022 in the near future.

 

Q. Where can I get tickets when sales reopen?

A. You will be able to get tickets online through the Tickets page on this website, as well as through physical outlets, yet to be announced, in Eswatini and Mozambique.

 

Q. How much will festival tickets for 2022 cost?

A. We’re not sure quite yet what the prices for 2022 will be, but they will be a bit more than the 2020 prices that current ticket-holders have paid.

 

Q. Does my MTN Bushfire festival ticket give me access to the MTN Bushfire 2021 Hybrid Festival Series mini-events?

A. Your ticket gives you access to the MTN Bushfire festival in its usual format, in 2022. Any live components of the MTN Bushfire 2021 Hybrid Festival Series will not be covered by your MTN Bushfire festival ticket.

 

Q. Can I get a refund?

A. We regret that we are not in a position to refund tickets bought for either 2020 or 2021. We sincerely hoped that the Covid-19 situation would have improved by now and that we could have held the festival as we’ve come to know and love it this year. However, we are fully confident that we will be able to do so next year, and are working towards that goal. MTN Bushfire does not normally offer refunds (see our Terms & Conditions), although we made an exception for a three-month period in 2020, due to the unique circumstances posed by the Covid-19 pandemic when it first hit the globe. Sadly, insurers do not cover pandemics. However, your tickets are still good: All festival, camping and glamping tickets purchased for 2020/2021 remain valid for the 2022 festival. For those who can’t make it to the 2022 festival, a secure online resale option will be made available later this year.

 

Q. Can I sell my tickets?

A. We will be making a secure online ticket resale facility available on the Howler platform later this year for tickets bought for 2020/2021. We don’t usually encourage buying tickets from third party ticket-holders, but we recognize that not everyone will be able to make it to the festival on the new dates. Tickets bought specifically for 2022 cannot be sold on this facility. Further information on the resale facility will be issued in due course.

 

Q. Will I be able to sell my camping or glamping tickets?

A. Yes, all MTN Bushfire festival tickets/passes bought for 2020/2021 may be sold on the Howler ticket resale facility. Terms and conditions for our camping and glamping partners may differ.

 

Q. Can I transfer my ticket?

A. Yes, you can transfer your festival ticket. Log in to your Howler ticket account via www.mtnbushfire.howler.co.za/tickets, locate the ticket you want to transfer, click on the 3 dots to the right of this ticket, and select ‘Transfer Ticket’.

 

Q. Where can I find updates on the festival?

A. We will update you as often as possible. Please check this website frequently for the Latest News, and follow us on our social media platforms (@mtnbushfire on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter) for announcements and updates on the festival.
