Camping

Camping at any festival enhances the overall festival experience and Bushfire is no exception with its own campsite leading directly into the main festival site. There are many options available to you whether you have your own equipment or not. In 2019, due to demand, it will only be possible to purchase ready erected or Bring Your Own camping spots IN ADVANCE of the festival. It will no longer be possible to purchase camping spots on arrival and camping spots are expected to sell out at least a week in advance of the festival. Don’t miss out!

Campsite check in desk will be open from Thursday 23rd May at 11:00 until 22:00 on Saturday 25th May and all campers must have their full festival pass before purchasing their camping ticket. As in previous years, only those with full festival tickets will be permitted to enter the campsite.

The campsite has great facilities, including hot showers, flushing toilets and running drinking water available all weekend. There is a 24-hour café that sells breakfast, muffins, tea, coffee and juices throughout the weekend. It is also a great spot for meeting new friends, and relaxing around fires. The information center is where you can charge your mobile devices and find out more about your travel plans. A full serviced site, there is a free car park located nearby the campsite, a full security team on site, and guys with wheelbarrows to assist you with your camping gear. What more could you want!

Those of you that have your own tents you can purchase a ticket for your tent for the weekend (even arriving a day early to set up in your preferred spot!) If you have a family there is a special zone where only those with children under 16 can camp. Both zones also have the option for a limited number of people to camp right next to your car – don’t miss out!

If you are in a group of 20 or more and wish to camp please email us at tours@alloutafrica.com to make plans for your group. No unregistered groups will be permitted. Group package information will be available from end of October 2018.

If you are hoping to hire one of our ready erected tents then there are several options available to you. Our Canvas Camp is exclusive and limited to only 35 tents. Located in a semi shaded exclusive area these are popular with those who want time away from the party spirit of the BYO areas. Our Tent Village is next, which has 130 tents, a mini camp itself, and is in close proximity to showers. Finally, there is the Forest Fire zone, where tents are set in clusters in a shaded grove and campers have access to pit latrines (truly the outback experience!) as well as our main toilet and shower block. All three options include a two-person tent, two mattresses and pillows with pillowcases.

Whatever the size of your group and your tent preferences you are sure to have the total Bushfire Festival experience by joining us at our campsite.
