MTN Bushfire invites young people, creatives, activists, community leaders and changemakers across Eswatini to participate in the 2026 Bring Your Fire Live Dialogues, taking place on 19 and 20 May 2026 at the UNESWA Luyengo and Kwaluseni campuses. The Bring Your Fire Live Dialogues are a dynamic platform created to spark bold conversations, encourage collaboration, and empower participants to contribute solutions towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and equitable future for Eswatini.
Taking place ahead of the MTN Bushfire Festival, the Bring Your Fire Live Dialogues will bring together youth, development practitioners, industry leaders, and community voices through interactive discussions, panel engagements, and networking opportunities. The dialogues will explore critical issues affecting communities, including environmental sustainability, health equity, climate action, energy access, and inclusive development, while encouraging active participation and collective action. Attendance is open to the public, with participants also standing a chance to win MTN Bushfire festival tickets, MTN Eswatini data, and airtime prizes.
This year’s dialogues focus on the interconnectedness of environmental sustainability and public health, recognising that climate conditions, inequality, and access to essential services directly impact the wellbeing of communities, particularly children and vulnerable groups. The dialogues aim to encourage collaborative solutions that balance development, sustainability, and equitable access for all.
The first Bring Your Fire Live Dialogue will take place at UNESWA Luyengo Campus on Tuesday, 19 May 2026 at 11am under the theme “Balancing Development and Access”. This sustainability-focused dialogue will explore topics including energy access and affordability, climate action, food security, and youth participation in environmental solutions. The discussion will examine how Eswatini can transition towards sustainable development without leaving vulnerable communities behind.
Core partners for this dialogue include the Climate Change Unit under the Ministry of Tourism & Environmental Affairs, the Eswatini Environmental Authority, Eswatini Electricity Company, World Vision Eswatini, Lungisa Electrical Solutions, and the MTN Foundation.
The second Bring Your Fire Live Dialogue will be held at UNESWA Kwaluseni Campus on Wednesday, 20 May 2026 at 11am under the theme “Rethinking Health Equity in Eswatini”. This dialogue will focus on healthcare access, HIV prevention, community trust in healthcare systems, and strengthening inclusive healthcare solutions in Eswatini. Discussions will highlight the importance of preventative care, community-driven approaches, and equitable health outcomes for all emaSwati.
Core partners for this dialogue include AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), EquiCare Partner Network, Young Heroes, amongst others.
The Bring Your Fire Live Dialogues form part of the festival’s broader commitment to advancing positive social and environmental impact through the Bring Your Fire movement, which encourages individuals and communities to take action, inspire change, and contribute towards a more inclusive and sustainable future. These themes will also come to life through creative and interactive activations at the Bring Your Fire Zone during the MTN Bushfire Festival.
Young people, creatives, and community changemakers are encouraged to attend, participate, and Bring Your Fire to the conversation.
