The MTN Bushfire festival invites traders to apply for trading and marketing activation opportunities for the 2023 edition.
Trading applications for the festival’s Global Food Village, Barn Marketplace and KidZone can be submitted online. Opportunities for experiential services and in-festival marketing activations are also available.
MTN Bushfire will take place at House On Fire, in the scenic Malkerns valley, from 26th-28th May, 2023.
Globally infused, authentically African and proudly Eswatini, MTN Bushfire is one of the most diverse, and inclusive music and arts festivals in Africa. This family-friendly event attracts people from over 60 countries and welcomes over 30,000 festival admissions in the course of a festival weekend.
In line with the festival’s #BRINGYOURFIRE mandate to collectively enact positive social and environmental change, MTN Bushfire’s trader policies are inclusive, small business focused, and promote fair trade. Preference is given to vendors with high-quality products who have a sustainability focus and source or produce locally.
Winner of “Best Responsible Event” at the WTM Africa Responsible Tourism Awards in 2017, MTN Bushfire is firmly committed to environmentally sustainable policies and practices, throughout the product value chain, as expressed through the #GREENYOURFIRE mandate.
Traders in the Global Food Village are encouraged to offer locally-sourced and produced foods offering a culturally diverse gourmet street food experience. The Barn Marketplace welcomes creative traders with sustainably-sourced quality products, preferably handcrafted from recycled or natural, environmentally-friendly materials, for the ethical consumer. Experiential services that enhance the festival experience are also welcome. Kidzone traders must be able to offer stimulating and fun-filled activities that inspire creativity, engagement and skills development for children of all ages. The new Marketing Activation Space welcomes brands looking to advertise in an engaging and interactive stall space.

Please note that the application period is from Monday 19th December 2022 – Monday 27th February 2023, after which successful applicants will be notified. Traders are encouraged to apply early to ensure they comply with all requirements.
